Since last few days, or for that matter past 6 months since the JNU matter was highlighted by Media anchors, TRPs of some of the channels like Timesnow, Zee and India TV have gone very high. Therefore, some of the journalists like Ravish Kumar are crying fool, and giving messages through videos, asking people for beside truth, which actually no one knows, suggesting other journalists to follow ethics, to know about the journalist practices, etc.. Even I read one article stating that Tahelka journalists offer to teach "journalism ethics" to Arnab. But these same journalists did forget what they were doing earlier, preferably before 2014 LS elections? Why NDTV was given notice for covering "pathankot" operation? Similar notices have been given earlier as well.. Now also, since so many lives are taken in Kashmir, they are crying fool on army and police.. Some showing love for terrorist.. I say why? Why you always want to demoralize army and policemen of our country, who battle their lives to save us.
The journalists who are crying fool now since their TRPs have gone miserably low should introspect. Same Arnab was good for them, when he ran "Lalit gate" and "wyapam" for more than months each on his news hour. Same Arnab was good for them when he blasts "Hindu extremists", but he is bad when he does otherwise...Arnab was good when he was giving so much importance for "shani singnapur" issue. When honourable PM gave interview to him, many journalists and bloggers, by their virtue of haste for Modi, posted so many of Modis's earlier videos , including that of Karan Thapar's when Modiji left in between. Some journalists have so much of hate for Modiji they go any limit to tarnish RSS and Modi. Let be the debate on any issue in the world and if Kumar Ketkar is on the show, I guarantee that he will bring RSS into it. Even some foreign nationalists, during debates have blasted these anchors, saying that do they really believe that they are nationals? These issues matter a lot for public, but its just food for journalists..
It is always a job of journalist to ask tough questions, but hammering questions out of haste falls in which kind of ethics of journalism? All these people should know how to practice independent and unbiased journalism. But all these anchors have gone out of their ethics and therefore many prefer to call them "prestitutes" since everyone goes for TRPs, including those who are crying fool now, and no one really wants to do fair journalism. Media houses seems to be divided between the ideologies, and often appear to be influenced by other unknown factors. Everyone of us should understand that they will not be fair since, they have to do business and they have to run their houses 24 x 7.
