Yogi as a CM of Uttar Pradesh..

I saw many posts from my fellow friends and others. They may be disappointed by the party's decision to select Yogi as a CM candidate.

Lets put it in simple words. BJP has won the election very handsomely, and they know why, how and for what they got such a huge mandate. Every party know the reasons for their success or failure, and based on it they decide their further path. No one from the liberal class or Lutyen's Delhi or Media personal, thought that BJP will w...in such a huge mandate. Not all of those who say they are disappointed today, have got the idea of what transpired behind BJP's handsome victory. Remember, BJP got 73 MP in 2014 LS elections, which again was never expected by anyone from the above-mentioned class. At that time, Amit Shah from Gujrat was sent to UP to do the work and he delivered, which gave him the post of party president. So, we have to understand that party personeel and party president knew exacly what was the people sentiment.
The preparation for UP elections have been going on since 2014 LS elections. Many surveys have been conducted by different media personnel before elections. Most of these surveys had given Akhilesh as a first choice for CM, but the second in that list was Yogi Aditya Nath. Thus, Yogi had much of the ground support than any other leader from BJP. However, it was not possible to win the state on his candidature, party had to go back to the PM's popularity. During this campaigning, Yogi was asked to be silent and certainly he would have got some promise before the election. This strategy delivered goods for BJP, and hence when it came to choose CM candidate they selected Yogi.
There were several other names doing rounds, including Yogi. But all other did not have any face value and may not have provided better dividend in the long run; at least BJP would have thought in this way I guess. One thing is for sure, that again we have a person who have grown, on his own fan-following. Whether Yogi delivers on his party's manifesto, time will tell, but the decision has been made and people have to wait for the performance of five-time Gorakhpur MP as a Chief Minister of largest state of India.

Demonetization and cashless economy

It is good that our honorable prime minister has shown the greatness to accept the responsibility if the decision of demonetization turns out to be a failure. It appears that government has finally understood that it was never to be a fight against Black money and it is evident from the steps of the government in recent days. Its narrative has changed from the fight against black money to go cashless. People will find the loopholes which would have been used to turn black in to white. Nevertheless, it is going to help Indian economy although in a very smaller way.

It is not going to be the case that black money is not going to generated again. It is bound to happen again and again, since its roots are in our income tax laws and people's tendency not to fill income tax. The rules need to be given a thought, in order to get more people towards filling income tax, happily. More than this, the ways of scraping the income tax system have been suggested by many economists. In fact, Nitin Gadkari had once said it during the election campaigning, that they will bring in plans to collect the tax indirectly.
India becoming a cashless economy, indeed is going to be the future and various schemes have been announced to support such moves. People have started going digital in many of their daily affairs, as it also saves their time and efforts. However, it is going to be a long walk for the people, as poverty, illiteracy and security are going to be the main obstacles. We have to educate them before asking them to go for cashless. Only 70 crore people, from the total population of 125 crore, have a bank account. Of these, 24 crore have been opened as Jan Dhan accounts. Thus majority of our daily affairs are done through cash, especially in the villages where number of small-scale vendors are huge. Digital security is a huge concern, as we do not have enough measures to be implemented for safe transactions. For instance, scraping over 32000 debit/credit cards in a day in the last month indicates the needs to have additional measure to keep online accounts secure. Overall, cashless economy is going to be a huge challenge.

Journalists crying foo lfor ethics

Since last few days, or for that matter past 6 months since the JNU matter was highlighted by Media anchors, TRPs of some of the channels like Timesnow, Zee and India TV have gone very high. Therefore, some of the journalists like Ravish Kumar are crying fool, and giving messages through videos, asking people for beside truth, which actually no one knows, suggesting other journalists to follow ethics, to know about the journalist practices, etc.. Even I read one article stating that Tahelka journalists offer to teach "journalism ethics" to Arnab. But these same journalists did forget what they were doing earlier, preferably before 2014 LS elections? Why NDTV was given notice for covering "pathankot" operation? Similar notices have been given earlier as well.. Now also, since so many lives are taken in Kashmir, they are crying fool on army and police.. Some showing love for terrorist.. I say why? Why you always want to demoralize army and policemen of our country, who battle their lives to save us.
The journalists who are crying fool now since their TRPs have gone miserably low should introspect. Same Arnab was good for them, when he ran "Lalit gate" and "wyapam" for more than months each on his news hour. Same Arnab was good for them when he blasts "Hindu extremists", but he is bad when he does otherwise...Arnab was good when he was giving so much importance for "shani singnapur" issue. When honourable PM gave interview to him, many journalists and bloggers, by their virtue of haste for Modi, posted so many of Modis's earlier videos , including that of Karan Thapar's when Modiji left in between. Some journalists have so much of hate for Modiji they go any limit to tarnish RSS and Modi. Let be the debate on any issue in the world and if Kumar Ketkar is on the show, I guarantee that he will bring RSS into it. Even some foreign nationalists, during debates have blasted these anchors, saying that do they really believe that they are nationals? These issues matter a lot for public, but its just food for journalists..
It is always a job of journalist to ask tough questions, but hammering questions out of haste falls in which kind of ethics of journalism? All these people should know how to practice independent and unbiased journalism. But all these anchors have gone out of their ethics and therefore many prefer to call them "prestitutes" since everyone goes for TRPs, including those who are crying fool now, and no one really wants to do fair journalism. Media houses seems to be divided between the ideologies, and often appear to be influenced by other unknown factors. Everyone of us should understand that they will not be fair since, they have to do business and they have to run their houses 24 x 7.

Brexit

Despite economic crisis, assuming the devastating situations to come in near future, economical reasons, the fluctuation in capital investment, etc. Britain votes for Brexit, which appears due to the security, cultural factors, immigration problems, demo-graphical changes, radicalization of youth leading to terror attacks, like happened in Brussels and France. This is the political reality evident on the street in Britain. It is in Europe and various countries. This is home-grown terror and therefore need to have different measures for having control with regard to the security. However, all people would agree that there seems some kind of uneasiness among British citizens. All people feel that the large influx of immigrants is simply out of control and no one know whether it can really be controlled.

This shows how people are responding to the cause and symptoms all over the world, not only in UK, but even in US, as Trump is getting huge support. It appears that perception may win sometime over reality. Several gunman and other radicals did shoot out in various parts of US, in last few years. Recently, in Orlando, a single gunman killed over 50 innocent people. However, for Britain, the causal factors may be different than appear to others. No one actually talks of their foreign policies running since past three to four decades.

Another angle some people bring into is the right wing thought getting the control of Britain and they may grow. Although some such elements may exist, there is not such relation to the vote for Brexit, that those votes for believe in right wing, and those who voted against, did not believe. Certainly there are different sections whether in favor or against, but it is said that, youth wanted to be in EU, whereas the old people, who were somehow highly thoughtful about security, voted for Brexit. In the end, this was narrow win, but since it is not election where things can be changed after set time, but it’s a referendum, which will not be reverted. So, Britain has to come out with a new way of policies and there may be the some serious implications in near future.

Can similar situation really occur in India, for one or the other reasons? Today, Indian reporters were so keen to have debate on this and were echoing with others, including some British, for the reason that India and Britain face similar situation, which these same journalist denied one or two years back. They were no way questioning of the demo-graphical, cultural and regional changes in India; rather they proclaimed that who actually is going to decide it. Now why these journalists now seems to change their views when it came to Britain?

Actually, India is nothing but today's European Union. India has separate states, and has separate language. Each state is a different country here, similar to countries in European Union. And therefore similar situations have been arising in several parts of India, and several parts are facing immigration problems. For instance, MNS have been claiming some serious repercussions of the immigration in Mumbai, the city which is highly populated and cannot bear more than what are there at present. Several people feel, that there is serious problems of the domestic utilities and facilities, such as water, healthcare and they also feel their subsidies are taken out by others. Already nature is playing harsh role in several parts of states like Maharashtra and Telangana. Therefore, such problems need to be handled by having proper long term plans for each city and being strict about them regardless of the political situation.
